Classes369
A modular Flask API and a reproducible Docker deployment for an IT center’s student management system.
The project
Classes369 is an IT center student management system. My work focused on its backend API and making its deployment repeatable.
Backend development
- Delivered a modular, production-oriented Flask API with more than 11 Blueprint modules, RESTful endpoints and database transaction handling.
- Implemented authentication with bcrypt and role-based access for administrators, teachers and students.
- Built transactional enrollment, cascading deletion and payment-handling logic.
Deployment engineering
- Created a Docker-based application stack with the app, SQL Server and database initialization.
- Automated schema seeding and configured persistent volumes and health checks.
- Added retry and backoff behavior to avoid startup race conditions between the application and database.
What this work brings together
A structured application API and a consistent environment for running it. The emphasis is on maintaining database correctness and making setup reproducible.
